Four tips to maximize your wedding day photo session and minimize your stress.

Your BIG day is coming soon and you feel like there's not enough time to prepare. Try not to worry. This should be a fun experience. Here are 4 tips to help.

1. Create a timeline for the wedding day. From hair and makeup, photos, ceremony, and reception. An estimation of times for each section will help you and your team stay on schedule and keep things moving forward smoothly. If hiccups happen, like someone is running late, the photographer should know how to handle the photo schedule accordingly. As a photographer, I would start with those people that are present instead of waiting. Makes sense, right?? 

2. Plan enough time for hair and makeup. Delays with hair and makeup can set the whole day behind. Plan to finish the process well ahead of schedule, this will keep you from rushing because of unexpected delays. Great hair and makeup artists will create a schedule to follow during wedding preparations. They will typically ask for one hour in order to document final touch-ups, detail shots, and candid moments with your closest friends and family. If you are having hair and makeup done for the whole bridal team, plan to have other artists there to help. 

3. Plan at least 15-30minutes for family and bridal party photos more time would be great, but it all depends on how big your party is. If you have a first look, this will allow time before the ceremony to take bridal and family photos. You will also get that special moment together. Then after the ceremony, you will have more time for artistic photos. If you want sunset photos make sure you plan the ceremony accordingly. I like to help with the timeline to make sure you are getting the photos you hired me for. I will be there to capture all of the stories and moments that happen throughout the day. 

4. On the day! RELAX HAVE FUN! You have done the hard work by planning ahead. Let me do the work and capture the magical moments that reflect your story.
