If you’re reading, congratulations, you’re alive! No matter what happens, life goes on!! There are so many people that have quoted this one way or another. Everyday we wake up is a gift.
In the midst of everything going on in the world, I feel like my photography business doesn’t matter and is not important. Then I woke up and told myself that my livelihood is important, and as I look around and realize that life goes on with or without me, no one is going to care about my business like me. So here I am blogging to boost my SEO and get my website up on Google. Owning a business is time consuming and hard work! I get busy trying to make a living and forget to make a life. It’s sad but true! Now my boys are in college and one getting ready to graduate high school. I didn’t take any sessions this Saturday just so I could capture Weston’s homecoming pics. As I get older I realize what is important and at the same time, I am sad that it took me so long to realize. And you know what, Life goes on regardless of the memories I make. I remember working on Saturdays and missing some of the boys’ sports games telling myself I need to work. Ya I can make my own schedule but that doesn’t mean I will book the clients that want to schedule sessions during the week so I can pay bills. It’s bittersweet for sure!
So as you remember that life goes on, be sure to make those memories. Be sure to preserve those memories. Book family photos, senior photos, empty nester photos, 1st bday, etc. Take those pictures so that when life goes on with or without you those memories will last forever. Your grandchildren will be thankful. They will be able to look back and ask mom and dad questions and reminisce about all the things.
