In Latin America, families mark a girl's 15th birthday, called Quinceañera, to denote that a girl is transitioning into womanhood. In the UK, US and Canada, girls go all out to celebrate their 16th birthday, calling it 'Sweet Sixteen.' This beautiful soul is turning 16 and I have watched her grow up into a lovely young lady. When you look in the mirror I hope you see a strong, intelligent lady that God meant you to be. Follow your wishes and dreams, have exciting adventures and endless fun. Be grateful that you can drive yourself. I'm sure mom is....lol. I hope this milestone is as beautiful as you. You are on your way to adulting so cherish all these childhood memories. Life will fly by and before you know it you'll be 50 like me. BTW I am not handling it well. Cheers to your future. I am excited to see what you become.
