How do you say, "I love you?" Is it with words, actions, or gifts? Do you buy an over-priced hallmark card..lol and sign your name or do you make your own? Do you write a heartfelt love letter to the love of your life? Do you plan a trip or make dinner for your partner? Have you thought about scheduling a photoshoot: Family, just kids, boudoir, couples? The experience of making magical memories with you loved ones is the most important thing in the world. So whatever you do, do it with conviction! Passion is important. Although I am not a fan of bureaucratic holidays that suggest we need to do something because it's a national holiday, I do think it's extremely important to show love!! AT ALL TIMES and just because!!! Love is not conditional. There are no terms and conditions.
Anyhoo! The hubs and I have a tradition of going to Buca Di Beppo, which translates to Joe's Basement! I just found that out. We loooooove their food so much that we go once a year on this day. I have a stocking hack where I usually give the hubs a gift card in his stocking for there, but I didn't this year. I don't have any ideas for a Valentine's gift just yet, but it will probably be something for his game room that we just converted to. We are not quite done with the finishing touches, but we are getting there.
We will also be throwing my mom her 70th bday this year the day before Valentine's Day. So that's going to be exciting. She doesn't look or act like she's 70... it's amazing!! My parents have been married for 51 years. Holy lotta years. Wow!
What will you be doing for Valentine's Day this year? Tell me! Happy love always! To see the full gallery click here.
