FAQ

Parents & seniors — Gilbert, AZ senior & headshot photography

If you cancel the session, the short answer is no. I am running a business and I need to protect my time, money and livelihood. However, there are always exceptions.

If you need to reschedule the session, a $50 rescheduling fee will be incurred.

I want you to have the best experience and photos. If the weather is not conducive (wind/rain/extreme heat), we will talk about rescheduling. I'll communicate early so nobody is stressed.

Most seniors book a few months ahead (and fall + spring fill fastest). If you need photos for yearbook deadlines, it's best to plan early.

Yes, if I have time.

I recommend just before sunrise or 2 hours before sunset for the best lighting. We'll pick the time that fits your vibe and schedule.

I'll help you choose a location based on your style—desert sunset, urban, or greenery—and I'll send you a few curated options that photograph beautifully.

Yes. A travel fee of $1 per mile applies to locations 25 miles or more from my home address.

If you want to keep it simple, bring 2–3 outfits: 1 casual, 1 dressy, 1 personality (sports/club/boots/hat/etc.). If you are unsure, bring what you want and I can help you decide. After booking, I'll send an outfit guide and you can text me options if you want help choosing.

Think coordinated, not matching. Choose 2–3 main colors and mix neutrals with a pop of color. Solid colors and simple patterns photograph best. Don't be afraid to accent with accessories. Try to avoid neon, busy logos, and tiny tight patterns.

Families: One is preferred but we can discuss.
Senior: We can fit multiple outfits depending on your package/session time. I'll keep changes smooth and efficient, so we don't lose shooting time.

Water, a small touch-up kit (brush, blotting sheets, hair spray, etc.), and snacks for kids. If you have toddlers, bring a comfort item for quick resets.

Not at all. Most people and seniors start off feeling a little awkward. I'll guide poses and give easy prompts so expressions look natural (and we keep it fun).

Yes! If you want a few family or BFF shots, let me know and we'll plan it into the session.

Family sessions are designed for your immediate family. If you're adding grandparents, cousins, etc., let me know so we can plan timing and posing. Contact me for an extended family shoot.

Yes! Pets are welcome as long as the location allows them. Bring a leash and a few treats—pets make sessions so fun.

Absolutely. Props that show personality make your gallery more meaningful. I'll help you use them in a creative way.

Family: Most family sessions run 30–60 minutes, depending on whether it's a full or mini session, the number of people, ages of kids, and how many groupings you want.
Senior full session: Up to 2 hours. Senior mini session: 1 hour.

Totally normal. I keep sessions easy, playful, and fast-moving with prompts that get real smiles. The goal isn't "perfect"—it's you, together.

Your online gallery will be delivered no later than 1 week after you select your final images for editing.

Yes, I retouch in a natural way (skin tone, blemishes, flyaways, etc.) while keeping your senior looking like themselves. Advanced editing available upon request.

Yes. Because no one is going to pass down a USB drive from generation to generation. I have a catalog of templates for cards and announcements, and I offer prints as well. Prices are in your final gallery link. I can help you choose sizes that look great on walls and make gifting easy for family. View templates for cards and announcements here. I suggest checking the catalog for ideas.

Booking is simple. Contact me here and we will choose a date. I'll send the contract and retainer invoice to be signed, you pay the retainer, and you're officially on my calendar. I'll send prep tips and help you plan outfits and location.
